20 Years Later Relive the Legendary Phish Traffic Jam: JAM Premieres in Coventry, VT

WHAT:

Releasing exactly 20 years after Phish’s farewell show in Coventry, VT, JAM is a 30-minute documentary short film chronicling the epic 2004 traffic jam in Vermont, where tens of thousands of Phish fans struggled through days of gridlock, resulting in one of the most profound traffic jams in history. The film features on-camera interviews with attending fans, including Aron Ralston (renowned outdoorsman and motivational speaker), retired VT State Police Sgt. Bruce Melendy (key figure in managing the crisis), concert promoter Dave Werlin, spokesman Adam Lewis and Matt Maxwell of Maxwells Neighborhood Farm (concert venue).

WHERE:
The film will debut with advance screenings at the Coventry Community Center:

  • Friday night, August 2nd, 2024
  • Saturday matinee, August 3rd, 2024

The public release will be on August 5th, 2024, available for rent and purchase on Vimeo On Demand. Additional viewing details will be announced on the movie’s official Instagram page @jamthedoc prior to the August 5th release.

JAM is narrated, directed, and edited by Alex Daltas and produced by Alex Daltas, Lawrence Shapiro (I Know That Voice, Jam In The Dam), and Aaron Semmel (Hatfields & McCoys (History), Big Kenny & Family (TLC) , Texas Rising (History), and Boss Dog (Nat Geo WILD)).
