Vermont Electric Cooperative

Bill Pay Assistance!
Applications Now Open

Dear VEC Member:
Vermont Electric Cooperative (VEC) has secured grant funding from the State of Vermont to support our Affordable Community Renewable Energy (ACRE) program. If you, or a VEC member you know, could benefit from bill assistance, we encourage you to apply.
The program will provide eligible participants with a $45 monthly credit on their electric bill for five years (60 months).
To be eligible, you must be a residential member of Vermont Electric Co-op and have a total gross household income at or below 185 percent of the federal poverty level. If you currently receive benefits through 3Squares, Fuel Assistance, or ReachUp, you will likely qualify for ACRE as well.
Applying is simple. Link here to download the form and follow the instructions. You need to print, complete the form, and send the completed form along with a copy of your recent VEC bill, to the Vermont Department for Children and Families (DCF) at the address listed on the form.
Please note that space in the program is limited, and submitting an application does not guarantee acceptanceWe encourage you to apply as soon as possible!
If spots fill up, we will maintain a waitlist in order of applications received in case additional funding becomes available.
If you have questions about this program, please call VEC Member Services at 802-635-2331 or email ACRE@vermontelectric.coop
